HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO COVID-19?
For face to face sessions, you may request for us to wear a mask if this is more comfortable for you. Please let us know beforehand if this is what you would prefer. We kindly ask that when arriving you use the hand sanitiser provided. For those who are interested, we are fully vaccinated and up to date with boosters. We also offer online sessions. Please get in touch if you would like to know if this option is suitable for you.
WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A COUNSELLOR?
Finding the right counsellor for you is an important decision. There are many things to take into consideration such as qualifications, experience and the right fit. It helps to have a look around. Making initial contact over the phone can also be a helpful guide, as this will help give you a feel for the person you'll be meeting with. It's completely normal to "shop around" as this person will play a part of your personal journey.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING OUR FIRST SESSION?
Our first session includes getting to know you and what your goals are for coming to counselling. We will also discuss confidentiality and duty of care.
I’VE NEVER BEEN TO COUNSELLING, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Each session we will discuss any issues you bring to counselling and we use a variety of approaches that will help you work through these issues.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
We operate weekdays and have after hours appointments available. If you are experiencing a crisis and need to speak to someone urgently, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL TO USE THIS SERVICE?
No, you can book directly with us.
DO YOU OFFER MEDICARE REBATES?
We are unable to offer rebates for individuals and relationship counselling does not qualify for rebates.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE SESSION?
Individual session: 1 hour
Couples session: 90 minutes in the earlier stages of therapy, eventually moving to 1 hour sessions.
Parenting session: 1 hour
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
Individual session: $165 (incl. GST)
Couples session: $313.50 (incl. GST) for 90 minutes and $209 (incl. GST) for 1 hour
Parenting session (both parents): $176 (incl. GST)
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located in 166/43 Eastlake Parade Kingston. We are on the 1st floor and to the right as you exit the elevator. There is also free street parking available.
